So about maybe five minutes ago at about 3:12 AM, I just finished book two(day two) of "The Kingkiller Chronicle" named "The Wise Man's Fear" by Patrick Rothfuss. I must say I have too many mixed feelings on this book. I'm not saying it was bad but the opposite. I loved it as I did the first book "The Name of the Wind." In my honest opinion with just two of the three books in the series, it is one of my most favorite series. The other series being "The Old Kingdom", "Stone of Power", and "The Pendragon Cycle."
I would really talk about the book but to safely say. If you desire to read a well written book, pick both up. I believe the first book was around 600ish pages and the second is 992. The final book, in my sadness, I expect won't be out for another 2-4 years. As the gap between the first and second was 4 years.
So, if you enjoy books like The Lord of the Rings as the description from a critic describe it as meeting the best like LotR. That and it will occupy you time quite well depending on how well and fast you can read. I had it "Wise Man's Fear" in my possession for about two and a half weeks and reading at work(8 days in total) on my down time and about 6 hours total reading at home. Not the best timing as I read the last Harry Potter in 3 nights.
In the end, if you want to spend about 30 dollars on two books that you could or couldn't enjoy, I say do it. I know I was glad I found "The Name of the Wind" in Border's Express at work.
